ITINERARY

Day 1 – Sydney – Bathurst
9am – Katoomba and Leura including a Blue Mountains tour. We visit a new museum, an art gallery, the three sisters, stop for lunch
2pm – Leura to Bathurst, fun stops on the way
5pm – Check in, later dinner, local pub or restaurant

Day 2 – Bathurst – Orange
9am – Mount Panorama Circuit, we stop at the top for photos
10am – Historical tourist lap of Bathurst
11am – Highland Heritage Cellar Door, specialty cold climate wines
12pm – Lunch stop in Orange, free walk time
1pm – The Orange Regional Museum
3pm – Head to another fantastic winery
5pm – Hotel Check, dinner later

Day 3 – Orange – Cowra
9am – Brilliant start today, visit a classy winery.
11am – Ages of Fishes Museum in Canowindra – This 360-370 million year old fossil deposit contains the remains of thousands of freshwater fish
12pm – The Cowra Prisoner of War Camp where over 1000 Japanese prisoners launched a mass escape. 234 Japanese prisoners died
1pm – Multi award-winning Cowra Japanese Garden is a ‘must see’
2pm – Relax for lunch at the Gardens
3pm – Cowra Information Centre, story about ‘Claire’ the local girl’s personal account of the Cowra Breakout through hologram presentation
4pm – Hotel check-in and late afternoon town history walking tour
6pm – Dinner in town at our own pace

Day 4 – Cowra – Grenfell – Forbes – Parkes
9am – Cowra to Grenfell
10am – Grenfell Museum and Gallery. Photos Tour of Grenfell Silo Art
11am – Head to Forbes, both towns solidly connected to the famous local bushranger, Ben Hall (he was killed and buried near the town)
12pm – History walk of Forbes then Parkes, town of Elvis celebrations
1pm – Walk the Elvis Street Art, it’s a must see experience
2pm – My Favourite coffee is Roasted Kombi, lots of Kombi memorabilia
3pm – Henry Parkes Museum and car show is a must see in Parkes.
5pm – Check in and dinner later

Day 5 – The Dish – Peak Hill Gold – Dubbo Zoo – Red Earth Estate
9am – The Dish, one of your tour’s must see trip highlights
11am – Newell Highway to Gold Mine town Peak Hill. Photo Shoot
12pm – Western Plains Zoo for a pre-arranged booking of 2 – 3 hours
3pm – Red Earth Estate. A unique wine tasting experience
4pm – Leave Red Earth Estate for Dubbo Hotel Check-in
6pm – Downtown we hunt for a place to eat, a huge variety available.

Day 6 – Dubbo Jail – Winery – Drive to Wellington – Drive to Mudgee
9am – The Old Dubbo Gaol Museum is a heritage-listed former gaol
This remarkably complete and intact gaol operated for 119 years
10am – Grab a coffee next door, walk the streets, 30 minutes free time
12pm – Wellington Convict and Mission Site founded as a convict agricultural station in 1823, the second colonial outpost out west
1pm – Grab some lunch in Wellington for 30 minutes break.
3pm – Wine Tasting experience in Mudgee, famous wine district of NSW
4pm – Head to our Mudgee hotel to check-in
6pm – We can search for a favourite eating place

Day 7 – Mudgee – Hartley Village near Lithgow – Sydney by 6pm
9am – Our Second Mudgee Winery
10am – Cheeses and wines we visit one more Famous Winery
11am – Mudgee to Lithgow and history walk
1pm – Last stop Hartley. Unusual historic town west of Blue Mountains offers one of the finest collections of historic buildings in Australia
2pm – Talisman Gallery run by artisan and blacksmith Ron Fitzpatrick who creates sculptures, mirrors and other metal art pieces
3pm – Sadly, love to show you more but we must head home to Sydney
